The Pharoahs Car Club was founded in 1948 , in Modesto, California, primarily by WWII and Korean war veterans.
The younger school kids in Modesto, being too young to join the Pharoahs, formed the Fraternity called the Faros in 1957. The Faros was the group that George Lucas wrote about in the movie American Grafitti. They were his classmates. Due to copyright issues, the movie used a different spelling
Today's Pharoahs Car Club is an international club with chapters across the United States, and internationally in Japan, Australia, Finland, United Kingdom, Norway, Canada and Mexico.
2023 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Pharoahs Car Club.
PHAROAHS OF COLORADO
The Colorado chapter of the Pharoahs Car Club was formed in 2020. It grew quickly, and due to the distances involved, a second chapter, the Pharoahs Car Club of Northern Colorado was formed in 2022.
Although each chapter has their own officers, meetings, and events, both chapters support and attend the other's events whenever possible.
